Terms and Scope of Services: Permit-Ready Plans

X Marks the Site prepares Permit-Ready Plans for temporary event tents in California. Please read these terms before you submit.

1. What Permit-Ready Plans are

Permit-Ready Plans are permit drawings for temporary event tents in California. Each set includes a fire department site plan per the California Fire Code (tent layout, occupant load, exits and egress, separation distances, and the locations of heaters, generators, and cooking) and stake or ballast anchorage based on the tent manufacturer's data and the temporary-structure wind design basis of the California Building Code and ASCE 7. Multi-tent events are covered on one site plan.

If your project needs work beyond standard Permit-Ready Plans, we'll tell you and quote it before any added work starts, or decline the project.

2. Your responsibilities

3. Approval

The fire department, building department, or other AHJ decides whether to approve your permit. Approval is not guaranteed. Your fee includes one round of revisions to respond to AHJ plan-check comments, as described in section 4.

4. Revisions

Your fee covers the plan set plus one revision round after fire department or other AHJ comments. Any added work beyond that, such as a major redesign, added structural calculations, layout changes, or work beyond the original scope, will be quoted and billed separately before it starts.

5. Process

You'll get a draft preview first, watermarked "Preview, not for submittal." The stamped final PDF is delivered after payment.

6. Use limits

The plans are for the event, dates, and site you submitted only. They can't be reused for other events or sites.

7. Liability

Our total liability for any claim related to the plans is limited to the fee you paid for them. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, such as lost profits or event cancellation costs.

8. Acceptance

By submitting, you agree to these terms.
